BMW Shows Off A Color-Changing Car At CES 2022

Trying to cull a colour for your car tin be a bit hard. This is considering in that location are things to consider apart from your personal preference. For example, cars in black might not be the best idea in countries that are hot all year round, while cars that accept more funky colors might be harder to sell off.

That being said, if you tin't decide what color yous want, and then BMW might have something for you. At CES 2022, the company has unveiled the BMW iX Flow. This is a concept vehicle by BMW that features an E Ink outside that can actually change color from black to white and vice versa at a touch of a button.

For those unfamiliar, East Ink is the aforementioned brandish engineering that y'all would typically find in e-readers. This is because compared to more traditional displays, they are relatively low-energy, which is one of the reasons why BMW chose to use it. According to BMW, the iX Flow volition characteristic 500 horsepower and has a range of 300 miles.

According to Stella Clarke, head of project for the BMW iX Flow, "This gives the commuter the freedom to express different facets of their personality or fifty-fifty their enjoyment of alter outwardly, and to redefine this each time they sit down into their car. Similar to fashion or the condition ads on social media channels, the vehicle then becomes an expression of dissimilar moods and circumstances in daily life."
